How do you teach presentation skills to a class of 40 students? My solution was to set up an independent learning system. Using Moodle as a base, I structured the material into seven modules, each of which would not become accessible until all tasks in the preceding module were complete. Within each module, students could watch videos, view exemplars, reserve workshops, complete quizzes, and submit media. As evaluation was transparent and ongoing, they could view their progress at all stages of the course. In this presentation, I will detail course set up and issues that arose, and present student feedback.
