Abstract
Abstract
Kanda Jogakuen established Kanda Self-Access Learning Center (K-SALC) in September 2017.This center is one of the first of its kind in a secondary school setting in Japan. The K-SALC has been operating for nearly a year, and in an effort to re-evaluate the effectiveness of current programs and the facility itself, surveys and interviews with students have been carried out. Survey results identified that a large proportion of students, not only do not use the K-SALC but do not understand it’s purpose. This presentation will investigate strategies to encourage wider use and understanding, as well as student autonomy
