To investigate ways of implementing emotional support for advisees during advisory sessions, this exploratory study investigated how an advisee perceived her own trajectory of emotions after completing one year of advisory sessions. In a precursor study, a 17-year-old female Japanese learner of English participated in 12 advisory sessions, where the researcher analyzed her emotions in terms of type, contextual complexity, and dynamics with multiple frameworks. The researcher then conducted semi-structured interviews to address how the learner perceived her own emotional state by visualizing her trajectory of emotions. The findings focus on the adviseeā€™s emotional management relevant to English learning.
