Abstract
Teaching our students strategies to help cope with the demands of language learning is one step in building the self-regulation they may require to become autonomous learners. However, to what extent is this helpful when working with learners in higher-level education who may have developed pre-set beliefs about the best approaches to learning? This poster session will address whether teaching learners methods aimed at fostering self-regulated learning can help university-level students develop more positive approaches to, and application of, learning strategies.
