This qualitative longitudinal action research aims to define the roles of teacher agency in the Vietnamese ELT’s current pedagogical strategies according to the dynamics of Vietnamese multi-cultural context. Inspired by Kolb’s experiential learning, emphasizing student-centered teaching and continuous reflection, the researchers established a pragmatic platform to equip teachers of English with a broader sense of intercultural communication. As part of the 8-week collaborative project, six experienced culturally diverse teachers with given power, and autonomous classroom decision-making, expressed growing teaching competences with which to direct their professionalism. This research sharpened these teachers’ beliefs about becoming change agents in a post-method era.
